Get in the Sand & Sea spirit as we signal the beginning of the Festival with fun music, a Triton Cheerleaders summer cheer, community groups, Town leaders and performances by local teens!

SAND & SEA FAMILY FUN AREA - 10am-10pm

Carnival games, a giant inflatable obstacle course, face painting, temporary tattoos, sand art, a pirate bounce house and more-all day long!

BEACH SOCCER TOURNAMENT - 10am-6pm
Local youth from all around the Merrimac Valley take to the sand for a fun-filled two day beach soccer tournament! Click here to register your team.

PIRATES OF THE DARK ROSE - 10am-6pm
Ahoy maties! The pirates have taken over the Sand & Sea Festival. Enjoy an action packed day with sword fights, birds of prey, sing-along’s and cannon firing lessons.

On Broadway Mall:
Pirate Encampment 10:00am – 6:00pm

The Dark Rose Pirates have washed ashore and piled their salvaged booty under a tent made from old sails. Drop by and catch the fun! Activities include songs, bird exhibitions (featuring Orrey-oh, the African raven), knot tying, foam cutlass fights with big bad pirates for the little swashbucklers, and much more!

TREASURE ISLAND SAND SCULPTURES ADVENTURE & TREASURE HUNT - 10am - 10pm
Local and nationally-known sand sculptor Greg Grady and his team of sculptors are creating five giant pirate-themed sand sculptures on Treasure Island. See pirates and shipwrecks, cannons and castles – all sculpted out of sand! Take your chance to loot their treasure. Buy a treasure map, find your treasure number, and win a pirate prize! Fee. BLUE OCEAN SOCIETY SEA LIFE DISCOVERY CENTER - 10am-6pm

Audio Rush is a youth rock group from Amesbury, Massachusetts who perform rock/pop music for all generations. With a solid two years under their belts, the group has performed at numerous venues. Developing as musicians, entertainers, and professionals, they have become a local favorite with a fan base made up of all ages.

Band members are from Amesbury,MA and have performed at the SAD Café in Plaistow, NH, Amesbury Middle School “Starts on Stage” and the Amesbury Rocks for Haiti Benefit Concert. The band plays covers from bands like Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol plus original works written by Logan Piercey.

32nd ANNUAL SALISBURY LIFEGUARD BEACH RACE

Proceeds Benefit Drowning Prevention Program in Local Schools - 6:00pm
Calling all runners. The Salisbury Beach lifeguards invite you to take to the sand for the annual 5 mile beach race with proceeds to benefit drowning prevention programs in local schools. SAND & SEA FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR - 10pm
